CVE-2009-2754 is an integer signedness error in the authentication functionality of librpc.dll, used by the Informix Storage Manager (ISM) Portmapper service (portmap.exe). This vulnerability affects IBM Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) versions 10.x before 10.00.TC9 and 11.x before 11.10.TC3, as well as EMC Legato NetWorker. The flaw occurs due to improper handling of a crafted parameter size, leading to a stack-based buffer overflow condition. The vulnerable code fails to properly validate the signedness of an integer parameter, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the service.
