A vulnerability in HDNLRSVC.EXE, part of the Intel Alert Handler service (Symantec Intel Handler service) in Intel Alert Management System (AMS/AMS2), as used in Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.x before 10.1 MR10, Symantec System Center 10.x, and Symantec Quarantine Server 3.5/3.6, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary programs. The vulnerability is due to msgsys.exe accepting a UNC share pathname from a remote source and passing it directly to CreateProcessA, enabling execution of attacker-controlled binaries.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (ams_hndlrsvc.rb) that exploits a remote command injection vulnerability (CVE-2010-0111) in Symantec System Center Alert Management System (hndlrsvc.exe), part of Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition versions 8.0 through 10.1.7. The exploit targets the service running on TCP port 38292 and allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands or deliver a custom Windows executable payload to the target. The module supports both direct command execution and staged payload delivery via TFTP, requiring the attacker to specify an LHOST for payload hosting. The exploit is weaponized, providing full remote code execution capabilities with SYSTEM privileges. The code is written in Ruby and is designed to be used within the Metasploit Framework.
