CVE-2010-1587 is a source code disclosure vulnerability in the Jetty ResourceHandler component of Apache ActiveMQ versions 5.x before 5.3.2 and 5.4.x before 5.4.0. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to read the source code of JSP files (such as admin/index.jsp, admin/queues.jsp, and admin/topics.jsp) by sending a specially crafted URI that begins with a double slash (//). This bypasses normal resource handling and causes the server to return the raw JSP source code instead of executing it.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module that exploits a directory traversal vulnerability (CVE-2010-1587) in Apache ActiveMQ versions 5.3.1 and 5.3.2 running on Windows. The module leverages a flaw in Jetty's ResourceHandler to send HTTP GET requests with directory traversal sequences, allowing an attacker to download arbitrary files from the server. The default target is the web interface on port 8161, and the default file to retrieve is '/windows\win.ini', but both can be customized. The module is written in Ruby and is structured as a typical Metasploit auxiliary scanner, with options for the file path and traversal depth. Its primary purpose is to demonstrate and exploit the file disclosure vulnerability in affected ActiveMQ installations.
