CVE-2010-1866 is an integer-overflow vulnerability in the PHP dechunk filter affecting PHP 5.3 through 5.3.2. While decoding an HTTP chunked-encoding stream, the chunk-size decoder can overflow and produce a negative signed chunk size. The negative value bypasses a maximum-only signed comparison, allowing subsequent processing to operate on an invalid size. The resulting flaw can cause a crash and may lead to heap-based memory corruption.
