A vulnerability exists in sys/nfsclient/nfs_vfsops.c in the NFS client implementation of the FreeBSD kernel (versions 7.2 through 8.1-PRERELEASE). When the vfs.usermount sysctl is enabled, the code fails to properly validate the length of the fhsize parameter in mount requests. This oversight allows a local user to craft a malicious mount request with an invalid fhsize, potentially leading to privilege escalation.
