CVE-2010-4232 is an authentication bypass vulnerability in the web-based administration interface of the Camtron CMNC-200 Full HD IP Camera, the TecVoz CMNC-200 Megapixel IP Camera, and OEM variants running firmware 1.102A-008. The flaw is caused by improper handling of request URIs by the administrative web interface: when a request is made with a double forward slash at the beginning of the path component, the authentication mechanism is not enforced for protected administrative resources. This allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to directly access administrative pages and functions that should require prior login, resulting in unauthorized control over the device.
