CVE-2011-0886 is a set of cross-site request forgery vulnerabilities in the web management interface of the SMC SMCD3G-CCR, also known as the Comcast Business Gateway, affecting firmware versions prior to 1.4.0.49.2. The vulnerable interface accepts state-changing requests without adequate anti-CSRF protections, allowing a remote attacker to cause a victim’s browser to submit forged requests to management endpoints. Reported affected actions include login requests, enabling external logins for remote administration, and changing DNS settings. Because the flaws affect multiple management pages, an attacker can leverage a malicious webpage to issue unauthorized configuration changes against the gateway when visited by a user on the trusted network or by an authenticated administrator.
