When sendfile is enabled on an HTTP APR or HTTP NIO connector, Tomcat does not validate certain sendfile-related request attributes supplied by a web application. A locally deployed, untrusted web application can abuse these attributes to bypass intended file-access restrictions or trigger an infinite loop or Java Virtual Machine crash.
