CVE-2011-3579 is an XML External Entity (XXE) injection vulnerability in server/webmail.php in IceWarp WebMail, affecting IceWarp Mail Server versions prior to 10.3.3. The flaw allows attacker-supplied XML containing an external entity declaration and a corresponding entity reference to be processed in a way that permits resolution of external entities. As a result, a remote attacker can cause the application to read arbitrary local files accessible to the IceWarp server process. The same XXE condition may also be leveraged to induce server-side HTTP requests to internal network resources and to trigger resource-consumption conditions leading to denial of service.
