A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in 7-Technologies (7T) Interactive Graphical SCADA System (IGSS) Data Server version 9.0.0.11200. The flaw can be triggered remotely by sending a specially crafted packet to TCP port 12401, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability was discovered by UCQ of the Cyber Defense Institute, Inc. and affects a widely deployed HMI/SCADA product used in critical industrial sectors.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module (modules/auxiliary/dos/scada/igss9_dataserver.rb) that exploits a denial-of-service vulnerability (CVE-2011-4050) in 7-Technologies SCADA IGSS Data Server (IGSSdataServer.exe) versions <= 9.0.0.10306 (and possibly <= 9.0.0.1120). The exploit works by sending a specially crafted TCP packet with a randomized buffer size to port 12401 of the target system. Upon receipt, the IGSSdataServer.exe process crashes or becomes unresponsive, resulting in a denial of service. The module allows configuration of the number of packets to send and the delay between them. The code is written in Ruby and is designed to be run within the Metasploit framework. No detection or post-exploitation features are present; the sole purpose is to crash the target service.
