CVE-2011-5063 is an improper authentication flaw in Apache Tomcat's HTTP Digest Access Authentication implementation. Tomcat fails to validate Digest realm values when processing authentication data. In deployments containing multiple protection spaces, an attacker can leverage a protection space with weaker authentication or authorization requirements to bypass intended access controls for another protected resource. Affected versions are Apache Tomcat 5.5.x before 5.5.34, 6.x before 6.0.33, and 7.x before 7.0.12. This issue is distinct from CVE-2011-1184.
