Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities exist in TestLink versions 1.9.3, 1.8.5b, and earlier. Authenticated users with specific permissions can exploit parameters such as root_node, cfield_id, id, plan_id, and req_spec_id in various PHP scripts (getrequirementnodes.php, gettprojectnodes.php, cfieldsEdit.php, planMilestonesEdit.php, reqImport.php, reqEdit.php) to execute arbitrary SQL commands against the backend database. The vulnerable functions include display_children and edit actions in the affected scripts.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (testlink_upload_exec.rb) that exploits an arbitrary file upload vulnerability in TestLink version 1.9.3 and prior (CVE-2012-0938). The exploit works by registering a new user, authenticating, and then uploading a PHP payload to the '/upload_area/nodes_hierarchy/' directory via the 'attachmentupload.php' endpoint. The real file name of the uploaded payload is retrieved either from the directory index or via a SQL injection against 'gettprojectnodes.php'. The payload is then executed by making an HTTP request to the uploaded PHP file, resulting in remote code execution. The module is weaponized, supporting customizable PHP payloads (such as Meterpreter shells) and is fully integrated into the Metasploit framework. The code is written in Ruby and leverages Metasploit's HTTP client mixin for network communication. All endpoints are relative to the base path of the TestLink installation, which is configurable.
