CVE-2012-1259 is a set of SQL injection vulnerabilities in Plixer International Scrutinizer NetFlow & sFlow Analyzer 8.6.2.16204, and possibly other versions prior to 9.0.1.19899. The flaws stem from insufficient validation and sanitization of user-supplied input before it is incorporated into backend SQL queries. Reported attack surfaces include parameters handled by the web application components responsible for exclusions management, login-related processing, and alarm functionality. The issue was described as reachable without authentication in the Scrutinizer web console, allowing remote attackers to submit crafted input that alters intended SQL query structure and causes arbitrary SQL commands to be executed by the application against its backend database.
