CVE-2012-1675 is an unauthenticated vulnerability in the Oracle Database TNS Listener (Oracle Net) affecting Oracle Database 11g (11.1.0.7, 11.2.0.2, 11.2.0.3) and 10g (10.2.0.3, 10.2.0.4, 10.2.0.5), and products embedding/using these components (including Oracle Fusion Middleware, Enterprise Manager, and E-Business Suite). The listener permits remote registration of a database instance or service name that already exists. An attacker can register a rogue endpoint using the legitimate instance/service name and then perform a man-in-the-middle hijack of subsequent database connections, enabling interception and injection of database traffic/commands ("TNS Poison").
