CVE-2012-2110 is a numeric-conversion flaw in OpenSSL's asn1_d2i_read_bio function, used by BIO- and FILE-based d2i ASN.1 decoding routines. Malformed DER-encoded ASN.1 length or integer data can be interpreted incorrectly during parsing, leading to an undersized allocation or invalid buffer-size calculation followed by a buffer overflow and memory corruption. It affects OpenSSL before 0.9.8v, 1.0.0 before 1.0.0i, and 1.0.1 before 1.0.1a.
