This allows remote attackers to exploit XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerabilities to read arbitrary files or cause denial of service via crafted XML input.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module targeting Atlassian Crowd servers vulnerable to CVE-2012-2926 (XML External Entity Expansion). The module exploits a flaw in the SOAP interface's XML parsing, allowing an attacker to read arbitrary files from the server's filesystem by sending a specially crafted SOAP request containing an external entity referencing the desired file. The module is written in Ruby and is structured as a typical Metasploit auxiliary scanner, with options to specify the target URI, port, and file to read. The default configuration targets the /crowd/services endpoint on port 8095 and attempts to read /etc/passwd. The exploit is a proof-of-concept for file disclosure and does not provide code execution or other post-exploitation capabilities. The only file in the repository is the Metasploit module itself.
