CVE-2012-3137 is an information-disclosure flaw in the Oracle Database Server authentication protocol affecting versions 10.2.0.3 through 10.2.0.5, 11.1.0.7, 11.2.0.2, and 11.2.0.3. A remote attacker can obtain authentication material, including the session key and salt, for arbitrary database users. Disclosure of this material reveals information associated with the users' cryptographic password hashes and facilitates offline brute-force password guessing. The issue is also known as the stealth password cracking vulnerability.
