A vulnerability in CoreText on Apple Mac OS X 10.7.x before 10.7.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service by supplying a specially crafted text glyph. The vulnerability is due to an out-of-bounds write or read condition in the CoreText library when processing malformed glyph data.

This repository contains a Bash script exploit ('killosx.sh') targeting Apple devices vulnerable to CVE-2012-3716 (CoreText Unicode parsing flaw). The exploit works by creating a WiFi access point with a specially crafted Unicode ESSID using 'airbase-ng'. When vulnerable Apple devices scan for WiFi networks and parse this ESSID, they may crash or become unstable. The script automates interface selection, enables monitor mode, changes MAC addresses, and sets high transmission power to maximize the attack's effectiveness. The Makefile provides a simple installation method, copying the script to '/usr/bin/killosx'. The README explains usage and the exploit's purpose. No hardcoded IPs or network addresses are present; the main fingerprintable endpoint is the malicious ESSID broadcasted over WiFi. The exploit is operational and requires attacker proximity to the target devices' WiFi range.
