An unspecified vulnerability in HP Intelligent Management Center (iMC) and Intelligent Management Center for Automated Network Manager (ANM) prior to version 5.2 E0401 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information, modify data, or cause a denial of service through unknown attack vectors. The vulnerability is referenced as ZDI-CAN-1612.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module targeting a directory traversal vulnerability (CVE-2012-5202) in HP Intelligent Management Center (IMC) FaultDownloadServlet. The module allows an unauthenticated attacker to download arbitrary files from the target system with SYSTEM privileges by sending a crafted HTTP GET request to the vulnerable servlet. The module is configurable for the target URI, file path to retrieve, and traversal depth. It first verifies the presence of HP IMC by requesting /imc/login.jsf, then exploits the vulnerability via /imc/tmp/fault/download with a manipulated fileName parameter. The exploit is operational and provides file download capabilities, but does not provide a shell or code execution. The code is written in Ruby and is designed to be run within the Metasploit framework.
