CVE-2013-10033 is an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability in Kimai 0.9.2.x, specifically reachable via the db_restore.php endpoint. The vulnerable input is the dates[] POST parameter, which is insufficiently sanitized before being incorporated into SQL queries. An attacker can supply arbitrary SQL through this parameter and execute database statements in the application context. Under favorable environmental conditions, the injection can be leveraged with SQL INTO OUTFILE to write attacker-controlled content to the filesystem, including a PHP payload in a web-accessible temporary directory, resulting in remote code execution. The issue has been confirmed in versions including 0.9.2.beta, 0.9.2.1294.beta, and 0.9.2.1306-3.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (kimai_sqli.rb) targeting a SQL injection vulnerability in Kimai version 0.9.2.x (CVE-2013-10033). The exploit leverages an unauthenticated SQL injection in the 'db_restore.php' endpoint to write a PHP payload to the server's temporary directory using MySQL's 'INTO OUTFILE' functionality. The module first attempts to fingerprint the Kimai version, retrieve the file system path and MySQL table prefix, and then creates a backup to obtain a valid backup ID. It then crafts a malicious SQL statement to write the payload and finally triggers its execution by requesting the newly created PHP file. The exploit requires specific server configurations (MySQL on localhost, PHP 'display_errors' enabled, and writable 'temporary' directory). The payload is customizable and allows for arbitrary PHP code execution, providing the attacker with remote code execution capabilities. The module is operational and not just a proof of concept, as it automates the full exploitation chain. All interactions are performed over HTTP, and the main endpoints involved are '/kimai/db_restore.php', '/kimai/includes/vars.php', and '/kimai/temporary/logfile.txt'.
