CVE-2013-10043 affects OAstium VoIP PBX astium-confweb version 2.1-25399 and earlier. The issue begins with improper input validation in the web application's logon.php script, which is vulnerable to SQL injection and can be used to bypass authentication. By exploiting this flaw, an attacker can obtain administrator-level access to the management interface without valid credentials. After gaining administrative access, the attacker can abuse the importcompany field in import.php to upload arbitrary PHP code. The injected payload is written into /usr/local/astium/web/php/config.php. When a configuration reload is triggered via sudo /sbin/service astcfgd reload, the malicious PHP is executed with root privileges. The vulnerability therefore constitutes a chained attack path from unauthenticated SQL injection to authentication bypass and ultimately remote code execution as root, leading to full compromise of the underlying system.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (astium_sqli_upload.rb) targeting Astium astium-confweb-2.1-25399 and lower. The exploit leverages a SQL injection vulnerability to bypass authentication and gain admin access. Once authenticated, it uploads a malicious PHP payload to the target's /usr/local/astium/web/php/config.php file. The exploit then triggers a configuration reload via 'sudo /sbin/service astcfgd reload', causing the injected PHP code to execute as root. The payload is designed to restore the original config.php after execution to maintain service stability. The module is operational and provides remote root code execution on vulnerable Astium installations. The main attack vector is network-based, exploiting HTTP endpoints exposed by the Astium web interface. The code is written in Ruby and structured as a standard Metasploit exploit module.
