CVE-2013-10062 is a directory traversal vulnerability in the Linksys router web interface, confirmed on the E1500 model with firmware versions 1.0.00, 1.0.04, and 1.0.05. The flaw is present in the /apply.cgi endpoint, where the next_page POST parameter is not properly restricted to the intended web root. An authenticated attacker can supply traversal sequences in next_page to cause the application to access files outside the expected directory scope. As a result, arbitrary local files, including sensitive system files and router configuration data, may be exposed through the web interface.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary scanner module targeting a directory traversal vulnerability in Linksys E1500 routers (CVE-2013-10062). The module attempts to authenticate to the router's web interface (default credentials: admin/password) and then sends crafted HTTP POST requests to the /apply.cgi endpoint, exploiting a directory traversal flaw in the next_page parameter. The module reads a list of sensitive file paths from a wordlist (sensitive_files.txt) and attempts to retrieve each file from the router, storing any successful results as loot. The code is written in Ruby and is structured as a typical Metasploit module, including references to the vulnerability and configuration options for credentials and file lists. The main attack vector is network-based, targeting the router's HTTP interface. No fake or detection-only code is present; this is a functional exploit module.
