An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the web interface of Hunt CCTV, Capture CCTV, Hachi CCTV, NoVus CCTV, and Well-Vision Inc DVR systems. This flaw allows a remote attacker to access and retrieve the device configuration without proper authentication, potentially exposing sensitive information and device settings.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary scanner module targeting an authentication bypass vulnerability (CVE-2013-1391) in the web interfaces of multiple DVR manufacturers. The module sends an unauthenticated HTTP GET request to the /DVR.cfg endpoint on the target device. If successful, it retrieves the device's configuration file, which may contain sensitive information such as FTP, DDNS, PPPoE, and DVR user credentials. The module parses the configuration file for these credentials and reports them to the Metasploit database. The code is written in Ruby and leverages Metasploit's auxiliary and reporting APIs. The exploit is operational and provides credential extraction capabilities, but does not provide a customizable payload beyond information disclosure. The only fingerprintable endpoint is the /DVR.cfg path, which is accessed over HTTP.
