An unspecified ActiveX control in affected WellinTech KingSCADA, KingAlarm&Event, and KingGraphic releases permits remote attackers to supply a ProjectURL property value that causes arbitrary DLL code to be downloaded to a client machine and executed. KingSCADA versions before 3.1.2, KingAlarm&Event versions before 3.1, and KingGraphic versions before 3.1.2 are affected.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting a remote code execution vulnerability (CVE-2013-2827) in the WellinTech KingScada kxClientDownload.ocx ActiveX control. The exploit abuses the 'ProjectURL' property of the control to force the victim's browser (Internet Explorer) to download and load a malicious DLL from the attacker's server, resulting in arbitrary code execution. The module sets up an HTTP server that serves a crafted HTML page embedding the vulnerable ActiveX control and delivers the DLL payload when requested. The exploit is effective only if the victim's browser is not running in Protected Mode. The main attack vector is through a browser (Internet Explorer) on Windows, and the exploit is operational, allowing for arbitrary payloads to be delivered as DLLs. The only endpoints exposed are the HTTP paths used to serve the payload and the CLSID of the vulnerable ActiveX control.
