IBM Lotus Sametime 8.5.2 and 8.5.2.1 are vulnerable to a remote denial-of-service condition. An attacker can use a crafted Audio Visual (AV) session to crash the WebPlayer Firefox extension.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module targeting a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability (CVE-2013-3986) in IBM Lotus Sametime WebPlayer (version 8.5.2.1392 and prior). The module is written in Ruby and leverages the Metasploit framework's auxiliary and remote TCP capabilities. It allows an attacker to send a specially crafted, oversized SIP MESSAGE to the Sametime Media Server, targeting a specific user's SIP URI. If the user is actively participating in an Audio/Video session with the vulnerable WebPlayer plug-in, the exploit can disconnect them, causing a DoS condition. The module provides two actions: 'CHECK' (to verify if the user is online) and 'DOS' (to perform the attack). The main configuration options are the target server address (RHOST), the SIP port (default 5060), and the SIP URI of the user. The exploit is operational and does not provide a shell or code execution, but rather disrupts service for the targeted user. No hardcoded IPs or domains are present; the attacker must supply the relevant endpoints.
