This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary scanner module targeting a directory traversal vulnerability (CVE-2013-4823) in HP Intelligent Management Center's BIMS DownloadServlet. The exploit leverages a lack of authentication and improper input validation in the DownloadServlet to download arbitrary files from the server with SYSTEM privileges. The module is written in Ruby and is structured as a typical Metasploit auxiliary scanner, using the HttpClient mixin to interact with the target over HTTP (default port 8080). The user can specify the target URI, the file path to retrieve, and the traversal depth. The module first verifies the presence of HP IMC by requesting /imc/login.jsf, then attempts to download the specified file via a crafted request to /imc/bimsDownload with a directory traversal in the fileName parameter. Successfully retrieved files are saved as loot in the Metasploit framework. The exploit is operational and does not require authentication, making it a significant risk for exposed HP IMC installations.
