CVE-2013-5791 is an issue in the Oracle Outside In Technology component of Oracle Fusion Middleware (8.4.0 and 8.4.1) in the Outside In Filters. Oracle’s October 2013 CPU describes it as an unspecified vulnerability allowing context-dependent attackers to affect availability via unknown vectors related to Outside In Filters. A third-party claim (not confirmed by Oracle) asserts the root cause is a stack-based buffer overflow in the Microsoft Access 1.x parser within vsacs.dll (prior to 8.4.0.108 and 8.4.1.52), triggerable via a crafted file containing an overly long field/column name, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution.
