CVE-2013-6785 is a directory traversal vulnerability in the url_redirect.cgi component of Supermicro IPMI releases before SMT_X9_315. Insufficient validation of the url_name parameter permits an authenticated attacker to request and read arbitrary files accessible to the IPMI web service.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary scanner module targeting a directory traversal vulnerability (CVE-2013-6785) in the Supermicro Onboard IPMI web interface (tested on X9SCL/X9SCM with firmware SMT_X9_214). The module authenticates to the web interface using provided credentials, then exploits the lack of sanitization in the 'url_name' parameter of the /cgi/url_redirect.cgi endpoint to read arbitrary files from the system. The default target file is /nv/PSBlock, which contains cleartext credentials for all configured accounts, but other sensitive files can also be specified. The module is operational and provides the ability to exfiltrate sensitive files from vulnerable Supermicro IPMI controllers. The code is written in Ruby and is structured as a standard Metasploit module, with clear separation of authentication, exploitation, and reporting logic.
