CVE-2013-7246 is a buffer overflow vulnerability in the IconCreate method of the DaumGame ActiveX plugin in versions 1.1.0.4 and 1.1.0.5. The vulnerable method accepts a string input and does not properly enforce bounds on that input, allowing an overly long string to overflow memory and overwrite structured exception handler state. This memory corruption condition can be leveraged by a remote attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the affected client application or browser process hosting the ActiveX control.
