CVE-2014-0750 is a directory traversal vulnerability in the gefebt.exe component of the WebView CimWeb components in GE Intelligent Platforms Proficy HMI/SCADA - CIMPLICITY (up to version 8.2 SIM 24) and Proficy Process Systems with CIMPLICITY. The vulnerability arises because gefebt.exe does not properly validate the location of shell files being loaded, allowing remote attackers to craft HTTP requests that traverse directories and execute arbitrary code on the affected system. This flaw can be exploited remotely and does not require authentication.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting a remote code execution vulnerability (CVE-2014-0750) in GE Proficy CIMPLICITY 7.5's gefebt.exe component, accessible via the embedded CimWebServer. The exploit abuses the ability of gefebt.exe to execute remote BCL files from shared resources. The module sets up a WebDAV server to host malicious BCL files, which are then fetched and executed by the target system, resulting in the dropping and execution of an arbitrary EXE payload. If the target does not have the WebClient service enabled, an external SMB service is required. The module is weaponized, allowing the attacker to fully customize the payload. The main attack vector is network-based, exploiting HTTP endpoints exposed by the vulnerable web server. The repository is structured as a typical Metasploit exploit module, written in Ruby, and is operational out-of-the-box for supported targets.
