CVE-2014-1904 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability in Spring MVC affecting Spring Framework versions 3.0.0 through 3.2.7 and 4.0.0 through 4.0.1. When a Spring form does not explicitly specify its action, Spring MVC derives the form action from the requested URI. Insufficient output encoding of that URI allows attacker-controlled script or HTML content to be injected into the rendered form action.
