CVE-2014-3581 is a NULL pointer dereference in Apache HTTP Server mod_cache before version 2.4.11. The cache_merge_headers_out function fails to safely handle an upstream HTTP response containing a Content-Type header with an empty value. When processing the cached proxied response, the condition can dereference a NULL pointer and crash the affected httpd child process.
