In ManageEngine DeviceExpert versions prior to 5.9 build 5981, the ReadUsersFromMasterServlet endpoint allows remote attackers to obtain user account credentials by making a direct HTTP request to the servlet. This vulnerability exposes sensitive authentication information due to insufficient access controls on the servlet.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary scanner module targeting ManageEngine DeviceExpert (version 5.9 build 5980 and prior, tested on 5.9.7 build 5970). The module exploits an information disclosure vulnerability (CVE-2014-5377) by sending an HTTP(S) request to the '/ReadUsersFromMasterServlet' endpoint on the target server. If successful, it retrieves XML data containing usernames, salted MD5 password hashes, user roles, email addresses, and password salts. The module attempts to identify weak passwords by checking common values. Extracted credentials are displayed in a table and saved as a CSV loot file. The code is written in Ruby and is designed to be run within the Metasploit Framework. The only network endpoint fingerprinted is the '/ReadUsersFromMasterServlet' path, typically accessed over HTTPS on port 6060.
