CVE-2014-8677 describes a vulnerability in the installation process of SOPlanning 1.32 and earlier. Remote authenticated users can execute arbitrary PHP code if they have a prepared database and access to an existing database with a crafted name, or permissions to create arbitrary databases. The vulnerability can also be triggered if PHP <5.2 is used, the configuration database is down, and the smarty/templates_c directory is not writable. The flaw is due to improper sanitization of database names, which can be crafted to inject PHP code during the installation process.
