CVE-2015-0072 is a Universal Cross-Site Scripting (UXSS) vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 9 through 11. The vulnerability arises from improper enforcement of the Same Origin Policy when handling IFRAME elements and WindowProxy objects. Specifically, an attacker can craft a sequence involving an IFRAME that triggers a redirect, a second IFRAME that does not, and then use eval on a WindowProxy object to inject arbitrary web script or HTML into the context of another origin.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module targeting a universal cross-site scripting (UXSS) vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and 11 (CVE-2015-0072, MS15-018). The module sets up a malicious HTTP server that serves specially crafted HTML and JavaScript to exploit the vulnerability in the target's browser. The default payload steals cookies from a user visiting the attacker's page and sends them to the attacker's server, but the attacker can also specify custom JavaScript to execute in the victim's browser context. The module requires the attacker to specify a TARGET_URI (the target iframe URL) and optionally allows customization of the JavaScript payload. The exploit is operational and leverages browser-based attack vectors, with endpoints for receiving stolen data and redirecting the victim. The code is written in Ruby (Metasploit module) and generates JavaScript for the payload.
