CVE-2015-3090 is a memory corruption vulnerability in Adobe Flash Player (before 13.0.0.289 and 14.x through 17.x before 17.0.0.188 on Windows and OS X, and before 11.2.202.460 on Linux) and Adobe AIR (before 17.0.0.172). The vulnerability arises from a race condition in the Flash shader class, which can be exploited by attackers to achieve memory corruption and execute arbitrary code. Exploit kits such as Angler, Nuclear, Magnitude, Neutrino, and RIG rapidly weaponized this vulnerability, distributing malicious SWF files that manipulated shader job parameters and exploited corrupted vectors for out-of-bounds access, ultimately leading to code execution.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting CVE-2015-3090, a buffer overflow vulnerability in Adobe Flash Player's ShaderJob functionality. The exploit is delivered via a malicious SWF file embedded in an HTML page, which is served to the victim's browser. The module supports both Windows and Linux platforms, specifically targeting Flash Player versions <= 17.0.0.169 (Windows) and <= 11.2.202.457 (Linux) in browsers such as IE11 and Firefox. The exploit works by manipulating the ShaderJob's width attribute to trigger a buffer overflow, allowing arbitrary code execution. The module is fully weaponized, leveraging Metasploit's payload system to deliver customizable shellcode. The main file is written in Ruby and uses Metasploit's BrowserExploitServer mixin to serve the exploit. Notable endpoints include the SWF file path and the use of the official Macromedia Flash ActiveX control URL in the HTML template.
