CVE-2015-5346 is a session-fixation vulnerability in Apache Tomcat caused by failure to clear the requestedSessionSSL field when a Coyote Request object is recycled for a subsequent request. A stale SSL-session-derived identifier can therefore be considered for an unintended request, allowing reuse of a previously used session identifier. The issue affects Tomcat 7.x before 7.0.66, 8.x before 8.0.30, and 9.x before 9.0.0.M2, particularly where deployments of multiple versions of the same web application use differing session settings.
