HipChat for JIRA versions earlier than 6.30.0 contain a Velocity Template Injection vulnerability. Remote authenticated users can exploit unspecified vectors to execute arbitrary Java code.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (modules/exploits/multi/http/jira_hipchat_template.rb) that exploits a Velocity template injection vulnerability (CVE-2015-5603) in the Atlassian HipChat for Jira plugin. The exploit requires valid Jira credentials and targets plugin versions 1.3.2 to 6.30.0, as well as Jira versions 6.3.5 to 6.4.10. The module allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the Jira server by injecting Java code into a Velocity template, supporting payloads for Java, Windows, and Linux platforms. The exploit is weaponized, supporting customizable payloads and file operations (write, chmod, execute) on the target. The main endpoints targeted are the Jira base URI and the Dashboard page, used for version detection and exploitation. The module is fully integrated into the Metasploit framework and is intended for authenticated remote code execution.
