CVE-2015-6908 is a denial of service vulnerability in OpenLDAP 2.4.42 and earlier, specifically in the ber_get_next() function in libraries/liblber/io.c. A remote attacker can trigger a reachable assertion and crash the slapd service by sending specially-crafted BER data. This issue also affects IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager (ITCAM) for Transactions, Internet Service Monitoring (ISM) component, versions 7.3 and 7.4, which bundle the vulnerable OpenLDAP version.
