CVE-2015-7007 is a vulnerability in the Script Editor component of Apple OS X prior to version 10.11.1. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to bypass the intended user-confirmation requirement for AppleScript execution via unspecified vectors. This means that an attacker could potentially execute AppleScript code on a target system without the user's explicit consent, leveraging the Script Editor's failure to enforce confirmation dialogs.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting a user-assisted code execution vulnerability in Safari on Mac OS X versions prior to 10.11.1 (CVE-2015-7007). The exploit leverages the 'applescript://' URL scheme, which opens AppleScript Editor with attacker-supplied code. By serving a crafted HTML page with embedded JavaScript, the exploit hooks the cmd key (keyCode 91) and, when pressed by the user (e.g., after being prompted to 'refresh' the page), redirects the browser to the malicious applescript:// URL. This causes the AppleScript Editor to open with a script that executes a shell command (the attacker's payload) when the user presses cmd-R. The default payload is a reverse shell, but any command can be supplied. The exploit requires user interaction and that Gatekeeper is disabled. The only file in the repository is the Metasploit module itself, written in Ruby, with embedded JavaScript for the browser component. Notable endpoints include the use of the '/.Trashes' directory as a writable location and the 'applescript://' URL scheme as the attack vector.
