CVE-2016-0015 is a DLL side loading vulnerability in the OLE DB Provider for Oracle on multiple versions of Microsoft Windows (Vista SP2, Server 2008 SP2/R2 SP1, 7 SP1, 8, 8.1, Server 2012 Gold/R2, 10 Gold/1511). The vulnerability arises from the way DirectShow and OLE objects (specifically MSDAORA and MSDAORA ErrorLookup) load oci.dll and ociw32.dll from the current working directory. An attacker can exploit this by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted Office document from a directory containing malicious DLLs, resulting in arbitrary code execution with the user's privileges.
