CVE-2016-4338 is a vulnerability in the Zabbix agent's mysql user parameter configuration script (userparameter_mysql.conf) affecting versions before 2.0.18, 2.2.x before 2.2.13, and 3.0.x before 3.0.3. When the script is used with a shell other than bash, improper handling of the mysql.size parameter allows attackers to inject and execute arbitrary code or SQL commands. The vulnerability arises from insufficient sanitization of user-supplied input in the context of shell command execution.
