CVE-2016-5675 is an OS command injection vulnerability in the handle_daylightsaving.php web-management endpoint of affected NUUO NVRmini 2, NVRsolo, and Crystal products, as well as NETGEAR ReadyNAS Surveillance. The NTPServer parameter is insufficiently sanitized before being processed by PHP's system() function. An authenticated attacker can supply crafted input to execute arbitrary code with root privileges.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (modules/exploits/linux/http/nuuo_nvrmini_auth_rce.rb) that exploits an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability (CVE-2016-5675) in the web administration interfaces of NUUO NVRmini 2, Crystal NVR, and NETGEAR ReadyNAS Surveillance. The exploit requires valid administrative credentials and targets the /login.php endpoint for authentication, then leverages a command injection vulnerability in /handle_daylightsaving.php via the NTPServer parameter. The module supports multiple payload types (netcat, generic, perl, bash) depending on the target device, and executes commands as root or admin. The code is written in Ruby and is fully integrated into the Metasploit framework, making it weaponized and easily customizable for different payloads and targets.
