Jackson XML dataformat component (jackson-dataformat-xml) contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in XmlMapper when processing XML input with DTD-related constructs. In versions before 2.7.8 and 2.8.x before 2.8.4, attacker-supplied XML can cause the parser to resolve external entities or related DTD references, leading the application to initiate unintended outbound requests. The issue is triggered through vectors related to a DTD during XML deserialization/parsing performed by XmlMapper.
