CVE-2017-0211 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability in Microsoft Windows OLE affecting Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, Windows 10 (various versions), Windows Server 2012, and Windows Server 2016. The vulnerability exists due to OLE failing to properly enforce integrity-level checks, allowing a local attacker to elevate privileges on the system. The flaw was discovered by James Forshaw of Google Project Zero.
