This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module (modules/auxiliary/dos/http/ibm_lotus_notes.rb) that exploits a denial-of-service (DoS) vulnerability (CVE-2017-1129) in the native browser component of IBM Lotus Notes. The module sets up an HTTP server that serves a specially crafted HTML page containing JavaScript. When a vulnerable IBM Lotus Notes client visits this page, the JavaScript triggers a hang in the client, requiring a restart. The exploit does not provide code execution or privilege escalation, but rather causes a service disruption. The module is written in Ruby and leverages Metasploit's HttpServer mixin. The only endpoints involved are the attacker's HTTP server and a reference URL to IBM's advisory. The payload is a simple infinite loop in JavaScript designed to hang the client browser.
