CVE-2017-13876 is a memory corruption vulnerability in the Apple Kernel component affecting iOS before 11.2, macOS before 10.13.2, tvOS before 11.2, and watchOS before 4.2. Apple states that a crafted application could trigger the flaw, allowing arbitrary code execution in a privileged context; the issue could also cause a denial of service. Apple’s advisory indicates the vulnerability was addressed through improved memory handling. On macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 and Apple TV 4K / Apple TV (4th generation), the documented impact is that an application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.
