ROCA is a cryptographic vulnerability in Infineon RSALib version 1.02.013 as used in Infineon Trusted Platform Module firmware and other products that relied on the same RSA key-generation implementation. The library generated RSA primes using a deterministic structured method intended to accelerate prime generation. This process produced RSA moduli with a detectable mathematical fingerprint and substantially reduced the effective search space for the private factors. As a result, affected RSA public keys could be identified as vulnerable and, for practical key sizes, factored significantly more efficiently than expected from standard RSA security assumptions. Affected deployments included Infineon TPM firmware before the fixed versions noted by vendors, as well as products such as YubiKey 4 before 4.3.5 and systems using those components for key generation. The weakness undermines RSA keys generated by the vulnerable implementation rather than RSA itself.

A critical RSA key generation flaw in Infineon's RSALib ('Return of Coppersmith's Attack') that produced structurally weak keys vulnerable to factorization from the public key alone.
A key-generation flaw in Infineon RSA library used in TPMs that produced factorable RSA keys up to 4096 bits due to a deterministic process.
