A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the Process function of RemoteTaskServer/WebServer/HttpServer.cs in Ulterius before version 1.9.5.0. The HTTP server fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input, allowing attackers to traverse directories and access files outside the intended web root.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module targeting a directory traversal vulnerability (CVE-2017-16806) in Ulterius Server versions prior to 1.9.5.0. The module allows an attacker to download arbitrary files from the target Windows system by exploiting the vulnerable HTTP endpoint. By default, it attempts to download the fileIndex.db file, which contains an index of all files on the system, and parses it to enumerate available files. Alternatively, the attacker can specify any file path to download. The module is written in Ruby and is designed to be used within the Metasploit Framework. The attack vector is network-based, requiring access to the Ulterius Server's HTTP interface. The only file in the repository is the Metasploit module itself, and it does not contain any detection or fake exploit code.
