It is an incomplete blacklist-based remediation of earlier polymorphic deserialization flaws, allowing crafted JSON processed by ObjectMapper.readValue to bypass blocked-type protections when Spring libraries are available on the application classpath. The issue affects jackson-databind releases through 2.8.10 and 2.9.x through 2.9.3.
